Mistake, Misuse, Malfunction
Zine on surveillance and image. Using software tools in new ways, breaking the stereotypical rules that follow it. Used Artbreeder to morph faces into compositions of art in order to protect protesters from facial recognition.
Spiral Bound Book
Printing Code is a generative zine made amid the Stay At Home orders of COVID-19 back in March of 2020. I wanted to encapsulate the repetition and mood of the quarantine life, and the universal feeling this pandemic created. The zine was made with HTML/CSS/P5JS, printed and bound.
This book, TINY, is a commentary on the ways in which people live. This includes but is not
limited to, the location, size, function, and possession of homes. How is home defined by someone living alone? How might it be defined from a community of hundreds? It is important to unpack different perspectives of the meaning of home, and living in the world. This book is an exploration
and research of small, unconventional living spaces from a number of different perspectives. The structure of this text is broken down into four different editorials around tiny living. This is a piece that grew into an expansive portrait of the way people live and what defines a home. The content of each chapter is broken into subsections that demonstrate a certain perspective, wether it be research, developing an image catalog, interviewing an expert, or writing a unique review. This project is an integration of visual and textual information.
